Featured performance: Cabaret
Beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Galvin Fine Arts Center, Allaert Auditorium
Show description: "That's just politics...what does that have to do with us?" is one of the most chilling lines in an American musical. Set in a nightclub in 1930s Berlin as the Nazi party begins to rise to power, Cabaret juxtaposes the decadent cabaret life of the time with the chilling changes in society. This Tony award-winning musical manages to be both an elaborate dazzler and a sober exploration of how hatred and bigotry can lead a society, almost unthinkingly, toward disaster. (adult content)
