The Seventies
James Brotts '70 retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue in Chicago after 31 years of public service.

Very Rev. William Reynolds '72 retired as pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Newton, Iowa, and as Dean of the Grinnell Deanery of the Diocese of Davenport. He will continue his role as vice president of the Apostleship of the Sea of the United States of America, a national Catholic maritime ministry organization which places priest chaplains to serve on cruise ships.

David Huff '76 retired from Standard Forwarding, LLC, in East Moline, Illinois, after 28 years of service. He held several senior management and executive positions during his time there, initially as controller and later as vice president of finance, vice president of IT, finally retiring as corporate manager of electronic data interchange.

Ken Golden '78 retired from Deere & Company as director of global public relations after 30 years. In retirement he plans to cherish more time with his family, travel, and pursue photography, genealogy and home projects.

The Eighties

Robert "Bob" Freitag '80 is enjoying retirement after 30 years of service in education as a teacher and counselor. He is looking forward to traveling with his wife, Kim.

Andrew Froumis '80, '84 MBA retired from an executive position in the semiconductor industry after a career in the aerospace and earth moving equipment industries.

Fr. Kevin Emge '81 was ordained a priest in December by the Rt. Rev. Alan Scarfe at Trinity Episcopal Church in Ottumwa, Iowa. He has been assigned to Trinity as the Priest-in-Charge.

Laura (Naveken) Bader '81 retired in July from Colony Brands in Clayton, North Carolina, after nearly 40 years as an IT software developer.

Mark McLaughlin '82 is a public relations specialist at TAG Communications in Davenport.

Michael E. Smith '82 has been named vice president of commercial lending for Heartland Bank and Trust in the Peru, Illinois, area.

Kris Ketz '83 received a nomination for "Rest Easy Marine" in the ‘Military -- News Single Story/Program Feature Segment' category. He is an anchor for KMBC in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ron Hotchkiss '88 is co-chair and vice president of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

The Nineties

After nearly 30 years on the air, Mark Allen '92 has stepped aside from his morning radio show at WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. Allen was part of the morning team of Van Harden and Bonnie Lucas on the 50,000 watt AM station.

Steven Pauli '92 is the sanitation division manager for the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Tony Schuster '93 has been promoted to senior marketing manager, Game Ready at Avanos Medical Devices in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Carrie Landau '96, '02 MCJ is a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Orland Park, Illinois. She was recently qualified as an expert witness in federal courts across the country and serves in this capacity with approval from the Crimes Against Children Human Trafficking Unit as a domestic minor sex trafficking expert. She has also been named the assistant team leader for the Child Abduction Rapid Development team.

Kerry (Farley) Pruitt '98 is branch manager for M&M Golf Cars in Bettendorf, Iowa.

The Zeroes

Elizabeth (Boardman) Hulsbrink '00 is clinic manager for Maplewood Veterinary Center in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Shemeka Sumrall '01 is a training manager at Deere & Company in the global aftermarket supply chain organization in Moline, Illinois.

David Reed '04 is a senior data analyst at Optum Clinical Performance, a branch of UnitedHealth Group, in Davenport.

Leeanna (Smith) Ellis '04 and the staff of the Washington County Pilot-Tribune in Blair, Nebraska, have been honored by the National Newspaper Association. The publication won First Place, General Excellence in the Better Newspaper Contest, honoring the best in community journalism. Ellis serves as the managing editor at the Enterprise Media Group.

Patrick Bleffer '05 is client services manager for TIAA. He manages a team of 3-5 client managers representing non-profit clients in the Washington D.C. area.

Heather (Venema) Hartley '06, '08 MOL is the creative and content manager for the construction and forestry division at Deere & Company in Moline, Illinois.

The Scott County (Iowa) Library System announced Christine (Mastalio) Barth '07 was honored as "Reviewer of the Year 2020" by Library Journal, a trade publication for librarians.

Erin (Tiesman) Schroeder '07 is content strategist with Lullabot in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Randi (Baldwin) Rockwell '08, '14 MOL is the associate director of development at UnityPoint Health-Trinity in the Quad Cities.

Stephany (Robinson) Schroeder '08 MSW is a social work supervisor for Robert J. Dole Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Steph DeLacy '09 opened Double Threat Studios in Bettendorf, Iowa, with Megan Warren. The studio offers private voice and tap dance lessons. They plan on producing four full-length musicals for students in grades three through 12. They also produce a podcast.

Samantha Johnson '09 is senior operations lead for Inspirato Travel Services in Denver.

Jessica (Denney) Taylor '09 has accepted a position as the director of communications at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport.

The Teens

National Geographic magazine published an article authored by Dustin Renwick '10. "How one city plans to recover from losing most of its trees" describes how Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plans to recover lost foliage following the derecho windstorm last summer. The article featured his first photos published by National Geographic.

Matthew Dunn '11, '12 MACC has been promoted to audit manager for Selden Fox, Ltd. in Oak Brook, Illinois.

Nikki (Boland) Henrikson '12 is an inside sales representative at Blackhawk Network, a company that operates in the prepaid, gift card and payments industries.

Annie (Smith) Schollmeyer '12 is a recruiting specialist at BlueTree Network, a strategy and support firm that helps organizations maximize return on their Epic investment in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jessica (Jacks) Krol '13 is the application support manager at Vibrant Credit Union in Moline, Illinois.

Tim McNicholas '13 was recognized by the Chicago Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (EMMY) for his work at WBBM CBS-2 Chicago. He was nominated as a reporter on the team for "Outstanding Achievement for Morning Newscast -- Larger Market" for "Breaking News: Snow and Strikes." He was also nominated for "Outstanding Achievement for Evening Newscast -- Larger Market" as a reporter that was part of the news team covering "Man Drives Through Woodfield Mall."

Meghan Dillie '14 is program manager, early talent, at Ingredion, Inc. in Westchester, Illinois.

Alexandra (Vero) Fulton '14 is the assistant vice president of global sales and client engagement at the insurance broker, Marsh. She is also the founder and the editor of GildedGal.com, a Chicago-based life and style blog.

Jonathan Golden '14 earned a master's degree from Central Methodist College while serving as a baseball coach at Illinois State University. He works in management for Hoffman Transportation and is the head baseball coach at Dwight (Illinois) High School.

Nichole (Westerlund Hurlbutt) Hancock '14 MBA is vice president at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Danielle Hoffman '14 is assistant professor of nursing at St. Ambrose University.

Ashley (Jamison-Love) Kerber '14 earned a data science and visualization master's certificate from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Lauren (Metts) Duncan '15 is senior accountant at McKesson Corporation in Irving, Texas.

Ryan McEvoy '15 is a media coordinator at Sky Broadcast Media in London.

Award-winning Quad City Times photojournalist, Meg McLaughlin '15 recently wrote a column sharing her experiences when COVID-19 hit her family.

Melanie Feilen '17, '20 OTD is an occupational therapist at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Luke Maiers '17 is content creator at Bazooka-Farmstar Inc., an agriculture and livestock equipment company in Washington, Iowa.

Marie (Schnoebelen) Ries '17 is a physical therapist at Mercy Iowa City Rehabilitation Hospital in Coralville, Iowa.

Kathryn "Kat" Golden '19 served a one-month volunteer assignment in Naples, Italy, with the Save the Children Foundation and then completed a three-month appointment as a Disney College Program intern with Walt Disney World Resort. She has recently started her teaching career in a kindergarten class at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Davenport.

Korbyn Granado-Bolton '19 MPAS is a physician assistant at MercyOne Des Moines Neurosurgery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Hannah Smith '19, '20 MSW is the school health professional at Clear Creek School District in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
