Dan Ebener

Professor


Dr. Dan Ebener has been practicing leadership and developing leaders in churches, businesses, and nonprofits since 1975.

He teaches leadership theory, strategic planning, leading change, dialogical skills, conflict resolution, team-building and servant leadership, especially for the Master in Organizational Leadership program. Dan also provides leadership training for churches, nonprofits, and businesses and has conducted strategic planning for over 160 organizations.

Dan has traveled to 67 countries and teaches leadership each summer in Croatia and every other summer in Germany. He is the author of two books on servant leadership, co-author of a book on strategic planning, and author of a fourth (upcoming) book on parish leadership.

Teaching Experience

Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL), SAU, full-time, 2006-present
Professor in College of Business for Managerial Studies, teaching primarily in MOL at St. Ambrose University (SAU). Courses include strategic planning, leadership theory, conflict resolution, dialogical leadership, not-for-profit management, servant leadership, leading change, leadership through people skills, international leadership and team-building. Also teaching an undergraduate course in leadership.

Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM), Croatia, 2009-present, adjunct
Taught international courses in Leadership through ZSEM, Croatia. Taught weeklong course that includes 8-15 St. Ambrose students and 45-60 Croatian students each year since 2009. Also taught four weeklong courses for ZSEM and four 8-hour leadership seminars for Mate Publishing, in Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, May 2009, 2010 and 2011. Taught additional leadership seminars for ZSEM in 2012, 2013 and 2015.

Taught 4-week international course in leadership through Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
