Faculty Honor Roll Spring 2019
New year, new AmbroseZine feature!
The Communications and Marketing Office kicks off 2019 with a salute to SAU faculty. Every once in a while – less often than you might think – faculty sends us news of their recent achievements which range from writing a book, article, or paper; earning an award; headlining a conference; and many others.
Here are the faculty who deserve recognition for work they accomplished up to and during Fall 2018:
- Dan Ebener, DBA, professor in Management and Master of Organizational Leadership, wrote his third book, Pastoral Leadership: Best Practices in Church Management, published by Paulist Press.
- Tadd Ruetenik, PhD, professor in Philosophy, wrote a chapter about Father Edward Catich, founder of the SAU Art Department, for the upcoming book Imagining Dewey: Artful Works and Dialogue About Art as Experience, published by Brill. The book is a companion text to Dewey's 1934 book, Art as Experience.
- Professor in Theology, Micah Kiel, PhD, was featured in the Daily Theology podcast, episode 41. Dr. Kiel speaks about studying abroad, volunteering in Belize, technology in the classroom, and his new book, Apocalyptic Ecology.
- Jim Bang, associate professor in Economics, contributed research to the article "Effect of Implementing Discharge Readiness Assessment in Adult Medical-Surgical Units on 30-Day Return to Hospital: The READI Randomized Clinical Trial," that was published Jan. 25 in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
