I have been fascinated by the body’s ability to heal since I was a physical therapy aide in high school. On my first job as a physical therapist, I worked closely with a plastic surgeon in wound management who supported my interest. Since wound care was not covered when I was in physical therapy school, I have worked hard to bring more attention to wound management in physical therapy education and clinical practice.
