Malia Duffy, MSN-FNP, MSPH

Adjunct Professor


Malia Duffy is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Public Health. She earned degrees from Simmons College, Johns Hopkins University, and Harvard University where she was a Presidential Scholar.

She has been working domestically with immigrant, refugee, and homeless populations to improve health-seeking behaviors, address vulnerability, and provide non-communicable and infectious disease and primary care clinical services. She has also worked across sub-Saharan Africa; Eastern Europe; Central and Southeast Asia; and Latin America and the Caribbean focusing on training healthcare workers, developing and implementing public health programs.

Duffy's primary areas of focus include HIV and AIDS, mental health, comprehensive service integration including for infectious and non-communicable diseases, and adolescents/youth.

Duffy teaches in the Master of Public Health program with a focus on global and behavioral, social and environmental health.
