CSWE Accreditation

The MSW Program in the St. Ambrose University School of Social Work was granted reaffirmation of accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) for the maximum of 8 years in October 2019.

On November 8, 2021, the Council on Social Work Education's Commission on Accreditation granted initial accreditation to the Bachelor of Social Work Program at St. Ambrose University through October 2029. Since candidacy status was granted in the academic year of 2019-2020, students admitted to the BSW program in the fall of 2019 and after are considered to have graduated from an accredited social work program upon the COA granting Initial Accreditation.
