Melissa Sharer

Since 1994, Dr. Sharer worked in global public health beginning with the Peace Corps in Armenia.

Over the past 20+ years, she worked in international settings and is experienced in developing and delivering training, programs, and research in development, relief, and post-conflict/transitional settings.

Central areas of interest and teaching experience in HIV/AIDS, research methodology, statistics, mental health, adolescent/youth, and issues related to gender-based violence. Research areas include HIV, mental health, social support, orphans and vulnerable children.
