The SAU Theatre Department, like any department, strives to develop and adapt with the ever-changing times and technologies.
One innovation that has been implemented this year is crucial to the success of any theater, though it is not always considered: a more intuitive ticketing process. This new process now makes it easier for newcomers to support SAU's productions.
"The program we had before was more of an event-planning system," SAU Marketing Director Renée Hentrich said. "Tix is specifically a ticketing system, so it's more intuitive."
With this more ticket-inclined system, Hentrich was able to program our entire season in one day instead of taking hours to set up ticketing for one show a few weeks before it opened.
Tix can be accessed through www.sau.edu/galvin followed by clicking the "Buy Tickets" option on the right-hand side of the page.
The page matches the University's brand, which makes new patrons more comfortable and inclined to purchase tickets to Ambrose productions. This small change could potentially increase audience numbers significantly.
