Theatre Department Presents "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
are Dead"

The
St. Ambrose University theatre department will present
"Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead," playwright Tom
Stoppard's modern day masterpiece, at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday-Saturday, Apr. 15-16, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 17
in Allaert Auditorium at St. Ambrose University's Galvin
Fine Arts Center. The production is
under the direction of student Daniel D.P. Sheridan, a
senior from Davenport, Iowa, who last directed "Private
Eyes" in the Studio Theatre last year.
Acclaimed as a
modern masterpiece, "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead"
is the inventive tale of "Hamlet" as told by the bewildered
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in
Shakespeare’s play.
"Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" is
the winner of the 1968 Tony Award for best play. Tickets are
$10 for adults, $9 for faculty, staff, alumni and senior
citizens, $8 for students, $7 for groups and SAU students
