'Through An Iowan Lens'

“Kerry, On the Day Maytag Closed, Newton, IA 2006”“Through an Iowan Lens,” featuring Richard Colburn, Sandra Dyas, and Fritz Goeckner at the St. Ambrose University Catich Gallery in the Galvin Fine Arts Center on campus.

According to SAU Catich Gallery Curator Heather Phillips, the show brings together three gifted artists—and three very different kinds of photography. “Color, monochrome (black-and-white) and ‘free color’ (sans black-and-white) photography are united in this unique show by the commonality of Iowa, both in the residency of the artists and the subjects of their art,” says Phillips. The show will include photographs of Iowa musicians and artists, political images from the Iowa caucus, and prints documenting the depopulation of northern Iowa.

Tuesday, Aug. 21 - Friday, Oct. 19
Friday, Aug. 31, 5-7 p.m. - opening reception

The gallery is open Tuesday–Friday, 1–5 p.m. and is free and open to the public
