Although fall semester classes at St. Ambrose don’t start until Aug. 25, the university has already earned high marks.
Two national ranking publications, The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report, have rated St. Ambrose among the top universities in the region.
St. Ambrose is one of the best universities in the Midwest according to The Princeton Review. The New York City-based education services company selected the university as one of 159 institutions of higher education it recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" designation. Colleges named "regional bests" represent only about 25 percent of the nation's four-year colleges. This is the fourth year in a row St. Ambrose has been selected.
Also, the U.S. News & World Report ranked St. Ambrose University 36th among “Best Universities–Master’s By Region, Midwest,” out of a pool of 141 participating institutions, using 15 indicators of academic excellence. St. Ambrose advanced ten places over last year’s ranking.
“We are always pleased to receive this type of affirmation, but not surprised,” says President Joan Lescinski, CSJ. “Even more important to us than rankings, however, is maintaining our own commitment to quality educational programs, first-class campus facilities, and service to others, a commitment that not only benefits our students, but the entire Quad Cities community.”
