Four former St. Ambrose women's head coaches or assistants helmed NCAA Division I programs in 2011-2012. Our cradle of coaches has produced soon-to-be QC Sports Hall of Fame inductee Lisa Bluder (Iowa) , Robin Becker-Pingeton '90 (Missouri), Bill Fennelly (Iowa State) and Tasha McDowell '98 (formerly Central Michigan.)
From humble beginnings as an academy created by the first bishop of Davenport, St. Ambrose has always welcomed students of all religious faiths, all ethnic backgrounds and all economic circumstances.
