This convenient degree path is for professionals who already have earned their BA/BS degree and completed certain prerequisites.

Degree requirements are the same as the standard BSN degree, but students complete courses in a quicker time frame.

Excellent, state-of-the-art labs: Refine your nursing skills with lots of practice in our ultra-modern simulation labs. You'll also have interprofessional opportunities to learn from students in the other well-regarded SAU health sciences programs.

One price tuition: When you start the BSN Accelerated program, you will never have a tuition increase; the price stays the same throughout your enrollment.


Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the SAU BSN Accelerated program, you must satisfy these requirements:

  • Earned a BA/BS from an accredited, 4-year institution
  • Completed prerequisites (listed on the Nursing Admission and Application page) with a C grade or higher
  • Complete CNA Certification and CPR Certification before starting the BSN Accelerated program
  • Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Be admitted to St. Ambrose University

Class Formats

Unlike the traditional BSN program, this accelerated route delivers courses – including clinicals – in the evenings (3 p.m. and later).

Courses are delivered in different formats to fit your learning method and lifestyle.

One-Price Tuition

As a post-degree program, the BSN Accelerated is part of the One Price Plan that ensures tuition costs remain at rate throughout the normal course of full-time postgraduate study.

Total estimated cost for the entire program will be $36,300 – or $9,075 per semester – for students who begin classes in Fall 2019. This price includes tuition and student fees associated with four semesters of nursing courses.
