Edward Littig, PhD
Vice President, Advancement
A Rock Island
native, Edward Littig worked in executive positions with the
United Way before spending ten years in
advancement at Newman University. He joined St.
Ambrose in September 2000. He manages the university’s advancement
activities, including the annual fund, major gifts and
capital campaigns.
He graduated from the Immaculate
Conception Seminary College in Missouri with a bachelor’s in
philosophy. He holds a master’s in child
development family relations and a doctorate in social
work, both from the University of Illinois.
Edward and his wife Mary have two children.
James Loftus, PhD
Vice President, Enrollment Management and
Student Services
James Loftus has been with St. Ambrose
since June 1990, serving in roles with continuing education,
professional development, the pastoral
studies program, and the ACCEL program. He was promoted to his current
role in 1998.
James oversees the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, Retention, Student Services,
Security, Communications and Marketing, and Records and Registration.
He received his bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of
Notre Dame. His doctorate is from the
University of Iowa. James and his wife Irene have four daughters.
Michael Poster 
Vice President, Finance
Michael Poster is a Davenport native, who graduated from St. Ambrose University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1988. His professional career experience includes three years with KPMG and 17 years with McGladrey and Pullen, working primarily in assurance and financial management consulting. During this time he worked with numerous higher education clients. Michael joined the administrative staff of St. Ambrose in January 2008. He manages the General Accounting, Human Resource, Physical Plant, and Student Accounts offices, and oversees the university’s bookstore operations. Mike and his wife Kelly have three children.
Lorraine Rodrigues-Fisher, EdD
Vice President, Academic Affairs
Lorraine Rodrigues-Fisher has spent much of her
career working for the disadvantaged community, providing
healthcare to the poor and elderly and organizing groups of
college nursing students for medical relief trips to
developing countries such as Peru, Albania, Hungary,
Argentina and Mexico. Lori has a nursing
degree from the University of Bridgeport. She earned a master’s degree in Adult Education, and another
in Family Health Nursing, as well as her doctorate from Clemson
University.
Lorraine and her husband, Ed, have two sons.
