Anthony Stratton '12 was recently awarded Best Actor in a Short Film from the Twister Alley Film Festival in Oklahoma. His latest award can be added to his accolade of being selected as the 2013 Region V Irene Ryan Scholarship Winner.

The film for which he was nominated is Nesting Grounds, a drama about a man dealing with the death of his mother by hoarding possessions to preserve the life around him. But as this behavior intensifies and he threatens his companions, he's forced to realize what's important in life.

"Anthony Stratton's heavyweight performance helps bring Ian Scott McCullough's beautiful and haunting Nesting Grounds to life," according to the Twister Alley Film Festival website. The film was also nominated for Best Drama Short, Best Poster, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Sound Design, Best Score and Best Screenplay, and won in the Best Art Direction category.

The Theatre Department offers its congratulations to Stratton!
