Find out who you truly are at St. Ambrose.
At SAU, we believe great things happen when you step out of your comfort zone or run with your ability to rally, lead, and explore. As an Ambrosian, you are surrounded with these opportunities.
Here, you can join or lead more than 80 student clubs and organizations. Working side-by-side with your peers, you will experience a level of support that strengthens your drive and focus on academics, a career field, spirituality, or a personal passion.
Through Campus Ministry, explore your faith and the difference it can have in how you walk through the world. Discover how deeply you can impact the life of one person – or a whole community – by jumping into service activities and elevating social justice.
In our residence halls, you'll be surrounded by peers who challenge and support you. And you'll develop meaningful friendships during late-night conversations about hopes, dreams, and an unbridled future.
Use your downtime to run some laps, lift weights, do some cardio, or take a group fitness class in the Wellness and Recreation Center.
Experiencing everything college has to offer – including a remarkable impact on your life.
Uplifting dance moves
Our impact is larger because we unite in service. Each year, hundreds of SAU students pour their heart and soul into 13 hours of dance. It's a reflection of their noble drive to support children battling tough medical challenges. Since 2013, SAU Dance Marathon has raised more than $1.3 million for Children's Miracle Network and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
All the Comforts of Home
A residence hall is more than a place to live; it's a place to live with purpose and compassion. With 24/7 security, weekly housekeeping, and Resident Assistants on each floor, students living on-campus are surrounded by people who care and want them to succeed.
The Highest Possible Score
SAU was named for the second straight year a 2017-18 Five-Star Award school, but only 12 out of 171 earned a perfect score in the competition which measures commitment to character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion.
Four Years of Fun, Exploring, and Making the Most of Every Day

Welcome Week marks your first days on campus and gives you the full experience of what it means to be Ambrosian: taking an Urban Plunge and serving your community, learning together, staying active, and having fun.
