The Counseling Center is staffed with licensed, professional counselors who can be of assistance to students, faculty and staff as they attempt to sort out issues. The emphasis in counseling is not to provide "pat" answers or to make decisions. Rather, it is a cooperative effort that explores new insights or ways of thinking, alternatives and possible new directions. This effort is conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, equality and caring.

The counseling center is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For more information, contact Steve Tendall, director of counseling, at 563/333-6423 or stendall@sau.edu
