A Typical Day
8–9 a.m. ............ Breakfast
9 a.m.–noon ....... Academic session
Noon–2 p.m. ...... Lunch and private time
2–5 p.m. ............ Excursions
5–7 p.m. ............ Dinner and private time
7–10 p.m. .......... Fun and learning activities
10–11 p.m. ........ Room time
11 p.m. .............. Lights out
Social Activities
There are regular and fun social activities organized for the students. These include course-based activities, such as field trips to media outlets, volunteer organizations, and international companies. In addition, students will enjoy boating on the Mississippi, hiking and exploring prehistoric caves in Maquoketa State Park, tai chi, disco bowling, volleyball, and other sports. Students are expected to record their learning and adventures by making a DVD which they will present on the final day.
