Nominate someone for the 2018 CHHS Alumni Awards

Graduates of the St. Ambrose College of Health and Human Services are doing great work in their professions and the world, and we believe they should be recognized. 

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 CHHS Alumni Awards in the following two categories: 

  • Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award: Any alumnus/alumna of the College of Health and Human Services who graduated ten or more years ago and exemplifies the mission of SAU through outstanding leadership, scholarship, or community service.
  • Emerging Leader Alumnus/Alumna Award: Any alumnus/alumna of the College of Health and Human Services who graduated less than ten years ago and exemplifies the mission of SAU through outstanding leadership, scholarship, or community service. This person demonstrates enthusiasm and innovation in their profession.

The deadline for nominations is June 1. To nominate an individual, please submit the following information:

  • Nominee's name            
  • Year of graduation            
  • Contact information            
  • Letter/s of support (no more than three)

Nominations can be submitted by email to schlabachtheresal@sau.edu or by mail addressed to Theresa Schlabach PhD, 1320 W. Lombard St., Davenport, Iowa, 52804. For more information, call Schlabach at 563-333-6279.

A selection committee consisting of three members of the CHHS will select the award recipients. The alumna/alumnus must be able to travel to St. Ambrose University for the awards ceremony which will be held during Homecoming week. 

The individuals will receive a plaque and may be asked by their professional department to make a presentation.
