Professor Emeritus
Dr. McCaffrey was associated with the MBA Program for over 40 years, teaching primarily in the areas of business ethics and leadership.
While at St. Ambrose, he served as the Academic Dean as well as the Dean of the College of Business. Dr. McCaffrey has been the recipient of multiple teaching awards at St. Ambrose as well as nationally.
Dr. McCaffrey served as the President of Palmer Junior College and later was the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has served on multiple boards including the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners, Davenport School Board, Board of the Genesis Primary Care Residency Program, Board of Directors of Palmer College of Chiropractic, and the Eastern Iowa Community College Board. Dr. McCaffrey also served on the Ethics Committee and Institutional Review Committee at Genesis Hospital, and the Human Relations Commission and Civil Service Commission for the City of Davenport.
His professional publications have centered on applied ethics. Dr. McCaffrey has spoken at numerous events and consulted for a wide range of organizations.
