SAU Earns High Rankings from U.S. News Report

09/16/2019

St. Ambrose University is ranked 27th in the Midwest Region Universities category in the U.S. News 2020 Best Colleges rankings.

As importantly, the university is rated No. 32 among Midwest Regional Universities for Best Value Schools in the magazine's annual assessment of US institutions of higher learning.

Paired with the No. 27 overall ranking, the value ranking speaks to the affordability and impact of a St. Ambrose University education.

"We are pleased with this endorsement of the tremendous value of our degree and the overall strength of our educational programs," said James Loftus, PhD, vice president for enrollment management at St. Ambrose. "At a time when parents and students understandably are shopping for a ‘bang for their buck,' we know St. Ambrose graduates are highly valued in the workplace, and that's the best endorsement. But it's nice to have that opinion validated on a regional and national level."

The university's highest position in the 2020 US News rankings is its No. 19 position in the Best Midwest Regional Universities for Veterans.

"We do work hard to assist our veterans and current members of the military as they make use of their hard-won educational benefits," said SAU's Coordinator for Veterans Recruitment and Services Natalie Woodhurst, a 2016 St. Ambrose graduate and Air Force veteran. "A top 20 ranking is nice, but we're aiming higher. Our veterans deserve the best."
