Chemistry is the key to unlocking an understanding of matter and its transformations.
Our graduates have nearly 100 percent placement in chemical professions. Upon graduation, some chemistry majors are employed as industrial chemists, criminalists or high school teachers, while others continue into graduate work in chemistry, environmental or forensic studies, medical school, or pharmacy school.
Reason #5: Every chemistry major gets experience using state-of-the-art instrumentation found in research and industry.
Chemistry students are broadly educated in chemistry, physics and mathematics while developing an excellent foundation in chemistry. They conduct experiments with professors and may have the opportunity to assist their professors in research, as well as participate in internships provided by local industries.
