In May, the School of Education began a new tradition by hosting a "Celebration of Excellence." The semi-annual celebration and awards were created to recognize academic excellence and performance in the classroom.
Professor Dean Marple presented the "Outstanding Secondary Education Award" to Michelle Gogel.
Professor Rachel Serianz presented the "Outstanding Elementary Education Award" to Jennifer Janes.
Professor Brenda Boleyn presented the "Outstanding Early Childhood Award" to Kate Daniel.
Assistant Professor Dick Robertson presented the "outstanding K-12 Award" to Jessica Barr.
Director of the School of Education Tom Carpenter presented the Director's award to Alyssa Dresen and Dan Conlin.
Associate Professor and Assistant Director of the School of Education Deanna Stoube presented Academic Excellence awards to Sean Golden and Alyssa O'Neill. Graduating with perfect 4.0 GPAs, both offered moving remarks about their journey to become a teacher.
