To get back in the swing of things, the St. Ambrose Theatre Department started the year off with the annual Theatre Picnic. Students and faculty gathered on the mainstage in Allaert Auditorium to enjoy food, reunite with old friends, meet new ones, and get informed about the year ahead.
The faculty took turns talking about this year's shows and events and how the students could get involved. The shows you can look forward to this year are:
Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman
Directed by Stacy Phipps
Working by Stephan Swartz
Directed by Dr. Corinne Johnson
The Cat in the Hat
Directed by Daniel Rairdin-Hale
Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet
Directed by Dr. Corinne Johnson
Beyond Therapy by Christopher Durang
Directed by Robert Poston
A Night of Commedia
Directed by Daniel Rairden-Hale
There is also a chance for students to experience New York City in December. We are offering a Marketing, Fine Arts and Communication Tour to students who are interested.
The Michael Kennedy Scholarship recipient was introduced at the picnic. The scholar this year is first year student, Kayla Lansing '18. Michael Kennedy made an appearance at the picnic and took a picture with Lansing and previous scholar recipients, Shannon Rourke '16 and Nick Pearce '17.
2014-15 Callboard Members
Each year students from each class are nominated by their fellow peers to run for Callboard. Those four individuals are chosen by the students at the event.
The student representatives for this year include (shown at right): (L-R); Kayla Lansing '18, Becca Brazel '16; Sam Jones '17; and Meghan McLaughlin '15.
Everyone is very excited to see what this year has in store!
