Model UN 2015

04/15/2015

SAU Model United Nations Society (MUN) participated in two major conferences during this academic year. They traveled to Chicago for the American Model UN Conference (AMUN) in the Fall and to St. Louis for the Midwest Model UN Conference (MMUN) this spring. SAU represented Ghana at the AMUN and Israel at the MMUN.

At the AMUN, our 15 members "served" various General Assembly Committees, United Nations Human High Commissioner for Refugees, and an Economic Commission for Africa. International studies major Jordan Meier and political science major Caroline Thome were the team leaders.

Additionally, the SAU Team received both a Certificate of Accomplishment award for excellent representation of Ghana, as well as a Certificate of Accomplishment for its well-written position papers.
