Reunions

We're ready to celebrate your reunion during Homecoming! Details on specific events are listed below.

We will follow the SAU COVID protocols during Homecoming Weekend. Masks must be worn indoors at all times when not eating or drinking. If you feel ill, we ask that you kindly refrain from attending this event. For more information on the university's COVID response, please visit the COVID FAQ page.

While many of our university-led reunions occur during Homecoming Weekend each year, we know that some classes or affinity groups find time to get together throughout the year. Know that your Alumni Office stands ready to help support you in your efforts to plan reunion gatherings across the country... and, we'd love to promote it!  If you have a reunion that you would like listed or if you're interested in helping to plan a reunion, please email Wendy Pondell or call her at 563-333-6057.

Affinity Reunions

2021 Affinity Reunions (History)

Affinity reunions are reunions that tie together a group of alumni in some way other than their class year. It could be a student activity group, a degree program, or an athletic team.

The History Department will host a reunion event during Homecoming Weekend!

Saturday, Oct. 2
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Ambrose Hall 233 & 228

We are making history in the History Department and would like to share it with you! Following Friday's induction of our new president Amy Novak, EdD (a Notre Dame History major!), we will celebrate the following at our reunion:

  • the start of the recently endowed Agnes Renner Chair held by Dr. Dan LaCorte
  • Fr. George McDaniel's commencement address in May 2021
  • the founding of Alpha Rho Delta, our chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society

We'll have coffee and pastries while we reconnect with each other! Please come share stories with us and each other about your time at SAU and your adventures since graduation. Although you can drop by any time unannounced, we'd love to hear that you are coming. Let us know you are coming! Contact Ethan Gannaway.
