The Biology Department at SAU provides a strong foundation in the life sciences, which can prepare you for a variety of health care careers.
As a Biology major, you will develop critical thinking skills, read and interpret primary scientific literature, and design experiments and analyze data to answer questions about that living world. Studying the living world will allow you to also understand the complexities of the human body: how it works, what it needs, how it can be harmed, and how to fix those ailments using modern medicine.
At St. Ambrose, the Bachelor of Science Biology degree, coupled with General Education courses and a Biomedical Sciences Concentration, will provide you with the coursework necessary for admission to many graduate programs in the health sciences.
