Biology Alumni

dakotaDakota Ahrendsen '12

Where she is now: After earning an M.S. in Biology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (December 2014), she is working as a development scientist at Integrated DNA Technologies in Coralville, Iowa.

For me, the small class sizes and relationships that I was able to develop with my classmates and professors allowed me to get more out of my education than I ever imagined. I learned concepts that students at larger universities aren't exposed to.

Where he is now: Resident Physician at the Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota.

Small classes, talented and engaging faculty, individualized attention, and outstanding results! I am very grateful for all the guidance and support I received from the Biology faculty. I would not be where I am today without them!

Where she is now: Practicing dentist

The advantageous faculty-to-student ratio, interactive lecture style, and personalized attention at St. Ambrose gave me a solid foundation in the sciences. Thanks to the SAU biology department, I obtained the educational background I needed to enroll and succeed in graduate school and am now a practicing dentist.
