Medaling Ceremony Fall 2014

12/08/2014

On Monday, Dec. 8, St. Ambrose hosted a Medaling Ceremony for graduating veterans.

Graduating military veterans and service members were recognized during the ceremony and presented with a medal to honor the joint achievement of military service and successfully earning a college degree.

Recognized graduates are permitted to affix the medal to the left breast of their gown, in the style of a military award, during the commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 13.

The Medaling Ceremony is a tradition that began in 2013, typically held on the Monday prior to spring and winter commencements. It is sponsored by the St. Ambrose University Office of Veterans Recruitment and Services.
