St. Ambrose again proved to be the nation's best when it comes to getting it done in the classroom and on the court, leading the country with 23 Scholar-Teams. This marks the third straight year SAU has had the most Scholar Teams in the NAIA.
Three other SAU programs - athletic bands, men's bowling, and women's bowling - had qualifying GPAs but do not compete in the NAIA. The St. Ambrose men's soccer team's GPA of 3.443 was the fifth-highest mark among all NAIA men's soccer programs. The Fighting Bees football team finished sixth among all football programs with a 3.065 GPA. Thirteen of the 23 SAU Scholar-Teams finished with GPAs of at least 3.25. Five of those teams - women's cross country, women's basketball, women's outdoor track & field, women's tennis, women's indoor track & field - posted GPAs of better than 3.50.
