- Isaac Weir Sears, founder of the global enterprise Sears Manufacturing, graduate of St. Ambrose University, and recipient of an Honorary Doctorate in Business passed away on February 7. Mr. Sears was a successful entrepreneur, highly involved member of numerous Quad City organizations, and was a former member of the Board at St. Ambrose University. He was 87.
