McMullen Hall has been open for business since August of 2020, and College of Business students have fully embraced the ultra-modern facility with three dedicated lab settings for business technology, finance and sales, each a part of 16,000 square feet of new learning space.
The project also included more 21,000 square feet of updated space in the original McMullen Hall, with much of that providing dedicated office space for COB faculty.
The long-awaited dedication of "A Place for Business" was held in hybrid fashion on April 8 with media, donors and dignitaries getting a long look at the first fully dedicated home for the St. Ambrose College of Business, either virtually or in person.
"This was a unique opportunity to give donors a chance to see how the new facilities really are being utilized now that students and faculty have had time to settle in," Vice President for Advancement Jim Stangle '82 said of a celebration delayed by months due to the pandemic. "What they were able to see is that this modern new learning facility is going to be a valuable resource for students in all disciplines for years to come."
The dedication ceremony preceded the July 1 start of the public phase of a fundraising initiative to help cover the $8.6 million investment in the newly added section as well as the more 21,000 square feet of updated space.
The broad-based public outreach to SAU alumni and supporters will conclude in December of 2021. For more information, contact Sally Crino '01 MBA, Associate Vice President for Advancement or Jim Stangle.
