Visiting Professor
Dr. McKenzie teaches health assessment online and in person, leadership, nursing seminar and nursing capstone courses. Dr. McKenzie has taught a variety of nursing courses at the baccalaureate, masters and doctorate levels for the past twelve years.

What Inspires You?
Just as I was called to the profession of nursing, I now feel an identical pull to my role as an educator. It will forever be a great joy of my life to watch my students realize the fruits of their hard work whether it be in a clinical setting after hours of work in simulation labs or in a classroom where the light bulb finally illuminates with the joy (or relief) of solving a complicated math problem. The honor of being able to witness individual growth and the thrill of knowing that I had even a small part of my student's journey to becoming a competent professional is what inspires and motivates me to hopefully influence the future of nursing care.
