November, 2011 – The SAU School of Social Work has been reaccredited for the maximum duration of eight years through 2019. This accreditation is an honor and an enormous effort by the MSW School faculty and staff, as well as many others across campus. We look forward to 8 more years of preparing competent and ethical social work professionals who enrich lives and advocate a just society.
As part of St. Ambrose's commitment to social justice and service to others, the Master of Social Work program prepares graduate social work professionals to address social issues and needs, offering a concentration specialization in Advanced Empowerment Practice.
Field experience offers students an opportunity to apply, refine, and integrate knowledge acquired in the classroom with experiences in social agencies.
