Museum Enthusiasts Club

The Museum Enthusiasts Club, formerly Art History Club, is open to all SAU students interested in art history and/or museums, regardless of major or minor. If you enjoy learning about art history in a casual, stress-free (and definitely NOT pretentious) environment, we welcome you to join. We're a fun group, and welcome anyone with a love of art history and museums!

We organize activities like movie nights, museum visits, and social gatherings throughout the semester, and provides support for AH/MUSE professional development through workshops co-sponsored with the Art History and Museum Studies Program.

The Club also takes an annual trip to museums in Chicago, and we organize a silent art auction to fundraise for the trip. Chicago museums we've visited in recent years include the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Christ the Savior Orthodox Church (to see Russian icons), and the Newberry Library (to see medieval manuscripts and early printed books).

Email us for more information on upcoming activities.
