Edith Yutt Scholarship details
The Edith Yutt Scholarship is given to music majors, with a preference for Juniors and Seniors studying piano and/or vocal performance. Contact the music department faculty to confirm your eligibility.
Student eligibility and selection criteria:
- Enrollment in SAU’s Bachelor of Arts in Music or Music Education programs
- Preference given to Junior and Seniors studying piano and/or vocal performance
- Progress/excellence in musicianship as demonstrated by student transcript(s)
- Seriousness of purpose as shown by a student’s positive and respectful attitude toward music, their studies, themselves, and others.
One student is selected each year to receive the Edith Yutt Scholarship. Music department faculty select a recipient prior to the start of each academic year. All music majors will be considered for this award. Application for this award is not required.
The Edith Yutt Scholarship is disbursed following a straightforward process:
- The Music Department shares the recipient name with Financial Services.
- Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each year.
- Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.
