About Black Student Union

The Black Student Union (BSU) serves as a central voice for all Black/African American students at St. Ambrose University. The club strives to engage and connect with the University and the Quad Cities community while developing student leaders.

What we do

The Black Student Union holds campus-wide programming to highlight and celebrate Black Culture throughout the year. BSU has hosted the annual Homecoming dance, an annual Unity March and events for Black History Month, including Free Food Friday. Additionally, BSU members attend the annual BIG XII Conference on Black Student Government. This event allows our students to network with other black students from BIG XII conference schools. Membership in the Black Student Union is open to all students of St. Ambrose.
