A place for respectful dialogue that affirms all members of our student, faculty, and alumni populations.

About the Multicultural House

Multicultural House aims to serve as a campus-wide resource that facilitates and promotes a learning community of multicultural understanding and exchange through collaboration, dialogue, and action. It is intended to be a space where students, staff and faculty members purposefully take part in dialogue that affirms students of all experiences and backgrounds.

Multicultural House features and amenities

The Multicultural House at St. Ambrose offers versatile spaces for group meetings, performances, and presentations. Enjoy Free Food Fridays hosted by clubs and a spacious lawn for outdoor activities and events.

Multipurpose gathering space

The first floor of the Multicultural House is a multi-purpose open space area/room for group meetings, performances, movie nights, presentations, open dialogue, and more.

Free Food Fridays

Clubs and organizations often host Free Food Fridays at the Multicultural House to celebrate and share their heritage with the campus community.

Space for outdoor activities

Use our outdoors space for small gatherings with activities such as lawn games, cookouts, and other open-air events.

Who uses the Multicultural House?

The Multicultural House is a haven for all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. All are welcome to use the facilities, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the greater community. A variety of student organizations hold meetings in this space.
