Engagement Grant details
Engagement Grants are given to all students who visit campus and meet the eligibility requirements.
Eligibility requirements:
- Full-time undergraduate enrollment as a first-year student at SAU
- Admitted by May 1 (for Fall semester) or December 1 (Spring semester)
- Confirmed attendance to at least one campus visit. All admissions-hosted events and visits qualify, including Daily Visits, Virtual Visits, Visit Days, Scholar's Day, Admitted Student Day, and other events hosted by the Office of Admissions. Athletic visits count if the incoming student meets with Admissions during their visit.
- FAFSA submission
- Scholarship is renewable each year
Multiple students receive the Engagement Grant each year. This scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible students.
Engagement Grants are disbursed following a straightforward process:
- Our team confirms your eligibility and enrollment status.
- Disbursement occurs at the beginning of each term.
- Funds are directly credited to your account and applied toward tuition.
- Funds are disbursed each year throughout your undergraduate program.

How to apply for an Engagement Grant
Applying for a scholarship is easy. Follow these steps.
Apply to SAU
To qualify for the Engagement Grant, you need to apply to SAU as a First-Year student and be admitted by May 1 (or December 1 for spring semester).
Visit campus
Visit campus to qualify for our Engagement Grant. All types of visits count, including daily visits, virtual visits, athletic visits, and events like Scholars Day.
Complete the FAFSA
Students must file their FAFSA to be eligible for the Engagement Grant.
